Focus on career path
To facilitate mobility between companies and industries, we will actively focus on promoting maritime career pathways. To help people take the next step in their (maritime) careers, we will establish career coordination centres.
These career coordination centres will provide career advice and guidance to employees in the maritime sector. By supporting employees in identifying their skills, interests and ambitions, we can help them identify suitable career pathways within the maritime sector. This could also include establishing a mentor pool (people who are happy to share information about their jobs and working environments) or initiating a Maritime Talent Programme (traineeships).
The Maritime Talent Programme is being established with support from the Maritime Masterplan. The programme is now taking shape, and more information can be found on the website below. Registration is open to companies that would like to participate.
