Maritime Innovation Impuls Projects

In collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate, the Innovation Council of The Dutch Maritime Network organizes annually the Maritime Innovation Impulse Projects (MIIP).

The aim of the MIIP subsidy scheme is to support the maritime industry in developing new knowledge or products. The projects are intended to give maritime innovations a financial boost. For example, to conduct an initial (feasibility) study or to enable the first steps towards product development. Projects must tie in with one of the four themes from the Knowledge and Innovation Covenant (KIC). These themes are: Towards Zero Emissions, Digital and Autonomous Shipping, Safety and Security and Blue Growth. The projects are assessed based on the intended contribution to the realization of those objectives. The future perspective, the possible follow-up trajectory combined with the quality and breadth of the partnership are also taken into account.

The MIIP subsidy scheme is accessible to all parties involved in the maritime cluster, regardless of whether they are affiliated with the Innovation Council.
