MIIP006 Enabling H2 for maritime contracting operations
Enhabling the use of hydrogen on maritime contract operations for the dredgers sector.
The projects brings together knowledge institutions with private dredging firms to work together on ways to achieve the maritime sustainabiliy targets. We will explore the safe use of hydrogen for maritime dredging operations in the netherlands. Which are the perceived hurdles from industry, knowledge, regulations and infrastructure.
The end goal of the project will be defining a roadmap for the development of hydrogen as a viable alternative fuel. We intend to keep a momentum on this research by alligning the roadmap with exisiting initiatives such as the Maritime Master plan. Finally, we wil propose follow up projects to our partners to achieve the end goal of enhabling the usage of hydrogen as an attractive fuel for the dredger sector.
