Exploring Business Opportunities in Latin American Ports: Puerto Antioquia (Colombia) and Puerto Baru (Panama)
During the webinar, representatives from Puerto Antioquia in Colombia and Puerto Barú in Panama will provide an overview of investment and development opportunities in these key logistics hubs:
Puerto Antioquia (Colombia): This project involves an investment of USD $770 million, with an expected completion in the first quarter of 2025. Located in the Turbo district of the Gulf of Urabá, this maritime port will have 1,330 meters of quay with 18 cranes and will have the largest refrigerated freight terminal in the country.
Puerto Barú (Panama): This project promises to create new connectivity from the western part of the country to maritime facilities in neighboring countries such as Caldera (Costa Rica), Quetzal (Guatemala), Buenaventura (Colombia) and terminals in Ecuador. The project includes a port area with a quay of 850 meters, a draft of 11 meters and a total development area of 124 hectares, with an estimated investment of USD $200-250 million.
After the presentations there will be breakout sessions with representatives from Puerto Antioquia and Puerto Barú.
